C'mon Blues - give us our dignity back!

Tonight begins another illustrious battle between the Blues and the Maroons, with the first of the State of Origin clashes set to be a very wet one in Sydney. Maroons have won the last four State of Origin's, so the Blues have to dig deep to try and regain their (and the rest of NSW's) dignity.

C'mon Blues - do us proud!

Can Tiger Woods ever be a sporting legend ever again?

It is amazing how such a prominent and seemingly indestructible and perfect sportsman's reputation can so quickly get shredded so publicly. But the question remains, if it wasn't for that one single car crash that generated so much attention in the first place, would these so called 19 mistresses have unfolded? Would his career gone down the gurgler in one night?

So can he ever regain his career after this? His reputation has been severely tarnished and sponsors have run 500 miles in the other direction. Can good sporting prowess alone get him back on track to become a golfing legend again?

I guess only time will tell ............ and whether he ever comes out of hiding.

Lamest excuse ever ....... but it worked

People get jailed for drug possession every day - often with a few recreational drugs on them. Possession is possession!

Yet French tennis player Richard Gasquet, who tested positive for cocaine earlier this year, was cleared of any offence by the Court of Arbitration for Sport - his defence ........... he kissed someone the night before the test in a nightclub in Miami. Oh c'mon ............ seriously!

So people get jailed for possession, but someone who actually has drugs in his system gets off with the lamest excuse ever!

Losing streak

First the pain of losing the Bledisloe Cup match on Saturday night by one point in the last dying minutes, now the Ashes to the Poms ........ not a good weekend in sport for the Aussies!

To add insult to injury, I am married to a Pom who has nothing better to do than rub it in!!
